This legislation has been repealed.
(1) In applying the Australian Road Rules to a person, a reference to
"left" is a reference to:(a) in relation to the person--the left-hand side of the person, or(b) in relation to a line, sign or anything else--the left-hand side of the line, sign or other thing when viewed from the person's perspective.
(2) In applying the Australian Road Rules to a person, a reference to
"right" is a reference to:(a) in relation to the person--the right-hand side of the person, or(b) in relation to a line, sign or anything else--the right-hand side of the line, sign or other thing when viewed from the person's perspective.
(3) A driver drives to the left, or right, of a line, sign or anything else only if the driver's vehicle is completely to the left, or right, of the line, sign or other thing.Note :
