The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

Part 1 Preliminary matters
1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Statute Law Revision Act 2009.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the date fixed by the Administrator by Gazette notice.

3 Amendment of Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 2004

(1) This section amends the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 2004.

6 Amendment of Firearms Act

(1) This section amends the Firearms Act.

(2) Section 24(3)

(3) On the request of a police officer, the holder of a firearms collector licence must allow the officer to:

(a) inspect all firearms in the holder's possession under the licence; and

(b) inspect the premises and the receptacles in which the firearms are kept.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months.

(1) This section amends the Health and Community Services Complaints Act.
