EXPLANATORY STATEMENT


GENERAL OUTLINE

§ The purpose of this Bill is to revive the Parks and Reserves (Framework for the Future) Act, amend it to allow for the change of the date of compliance to 1 February 2005 and to remove Keep River from Schedule 2.


NOTES ON CLAUSES

Clause 1. Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Parks and Reserves (Framework for the Future) (Revival) Act 2005.

Clause 2. Commencement.

This clause defines the dates on which sections of the Act commence.

Clause 3. [ Revocation of expiry notice ].

This clause revokes the expiry notice published in Gazette No. S1 on 1 January 2005.




Clause 3. [Revival of Act ].

This clause revives the Parks and Reserves (Framework for the Future) Act

Clause 5 to 7. [ Extension of date of compliance ].

These clauses amend the Parks and Reserves (Framework for the Future) Act to allow for the extension of the date of compliance to 2 February 2005.

Clause 8. [ Amendment of Schedule 2 ].

This clause removes Keep River from Schedule 2
