Northern Territory Numbered Acts Northern Territory Numbered Acts(1) It is not an excuse for refusing or failing to answer a question, or for refusing or failing to provide information, as required under this Act that the answer to the question, or the information, would tend to incriminate the person subject to the requirement of an offence.
(2) However, the answer to the question or the information provided is not admissible in evidence against the person in civil or criminal proceedings except:
(a) proceedings for an offence against the provision under which the requirement was made; or
(b) proceedings in the nature of perjury.
