CRIME AND CORRUPTION ACT 2001 - SECT 174
Commission’s powers generally
174 Commission’s powers generally
(1) Without limiting the commission’s specific powers under this or another
Act, the commission has power to do all things necessary or convenient to be
done for or in connection with, or reasonably incidental to, the performance
of its functions. Note— See, for example, the
Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 , chapter 11 (Controlled
operations).
(2) A person who is a member of a relevant office whose
services are seconded to the commission under section 255 retains, and may
exercise, all powers had by the person as a member of the office.
(3) In this
section—
"relevant office" means a unit of public administration or an office within a
unit of public administration.
