CRIME AND CORRUPTION ACT 2001 - SECT 181
Legal representation and examination
181 Legal representation and examination
(1) A witness at a commission hearing may be legally represented at the
hearing.
(2) A witness may be examined, cross-examined or re-examined on any
matter the presiding officer considers relevant by— (a) the presiding
officer; or
(b) counsel assisting the commission at the hearing; or
(c) a
person authorised by the presiding officer; or
(d) a lawyer representing the
witness.
(3) The presiding officer may allow a person who is not giving sworn
evidence at the hearing to be legally represented at the hearing if the
presiding officer considers there are special circumstances.
