CRIME AND CORRUPTION ACT 2001 - SECT 198A
Person in contempt may be detained
198A Person in contempt may be detained
(1) If the presiding officer expresses an intention at the hearing to certify
the contempt in writing to the Supreme Court, the presiding officer may,
during the hearing, direct a police officer to detain the person for the
purpose of bringing the person before the Supreme Court to be dealt with
according to law.
(2) If the person is detained under subsection (1) , the
person must be brought before the court as soon as practicable.
