CRIME AND CORRUPTION ACT 2001 - SECT 449
Existing complaints about corrupt conduct
(1) This section applies to the following— (a) a complaint about
corrupt conduct made or referred to the commission, but not finally
dealt with, before the commencement;
(b) a complaint that a public official
reasonably suspects involves, or may involve, corrupt conduct that was made or
referred to the public official, but not notified, before the commencement.
(2) The complaint must be dealt with and, for a complaint mentioned in
subsection (1)(b), notified in the context of corrupt conduct within the
meaning of section 15 as in force on the commencement.
(3) In this section—
"complaint" , about corrupt conduct, includes information or a matter
involving corrupt conduct.
"dealt with" means dealt with under this Act.
"notified" means notified to the commission under chapter 2, part 3, division
3.
