CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS ACT 2011 - SECT 5

5 Eligibility criteria

A person may enter into a civil partnership only if—

(a) the person is not married or in a civil partnership; and

(b) the person does not have any of the following relationships (a
"prohibited relationship" ) with the person’s proposed civil partner—

(i) lineal ancestor;

(ii) lineal descendent;

(iii) sister;

(iv) half-sister;

(v) brother;

(vi) half-brother; and

(c) the person or the person’s proposed civil partner lives in Queensland.
