CRIMINAL PROCEEDS CONFISCATION ACT 2002 - SECT 275
Old restraining orders
275 Old restraining orders
(1) An old restraining order is taken to be a new restraining order made by
the court that made the old restraining order on the conditions stated in the
old restraining order and may be enforced under this Act.
(2) The new
restraining order has effect only for the balance of the term for which the
old restraining order would have had effect if this Act had not been enacted.
(3) Any proceeding, including an appeal, that may be started by a person
because of the making of an old restraining order may, if the time for
starting the proceeding has not ended, be started under this Act as if this
Act had commenced on the day the old restraining order was made.
(4) If the
old restraining order was made in a court other than the Supreme Court, the
Supreme Court may extend the period for which the restraining order is to
remain in force as if the order had been made under this Act.
