(1) The police officer giving the direction must warn the person—(a) it is an offence not to comply with the direction unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and(b) the person may be arrested for the offence.
(2) The police officer must give the person a reasonable opportunity to comply with the direction.
(3) If the person fails to comply with the direction, a police officer must, if practicable—(a) repeat the warning mentioned in subsection (1) ; and(b) give the person a further reasonable opportunity to comply with the direction.
