Fixing of date, time and place for hearing
33 Fixing of date, time and place for hearing
(1) If the applicant for the protection order is a police officer, as soon as
practicable after the application is prepared, the police officer must prepare
a copy of the application that states the date, time and place for the hearing
of the application.
(2) If the applicant for the protection order is not a
police officer, as soon as practicable after the application is filed in the
court, the clerk of the court must— (a) write on a copy of the application
the date, time and place for the hearing of the application; and
(b) give the
copy of the application to— (i) the applicant; and
(ii) the officer in
charge of the police station nearest the place where the respondent lives or
was last known to live.
