DOMESTIC AND FAMILY VIOLENCE PROTECTION ACT 2012 - SECT 57
Court may impose other conditions
57 Court may impose other conditions
(1) A court making or varying a domestic violence order must consider whether
imposing any other condition is necessary or desirable to protect— (a) the
aggrieved from domestic violence; or
(b) a named person from associated
domestic violence; or
(c) a named person who is a child from being exposed to
domestic violence.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1) , a court making a
domestic violence order must consider whether to impose an ouster condition on
the respondent in relation to the aggrieved’s usual place of residence.
(3)
The principle of paramount importance to the court must be the principle that
the safety, protection and wellbeing of people who fear or experience
domestic violence, including children, are paramount.
