Licence taken to continue in force for particular periods
59 Licence taken to continue in force for particular periods
(1) If an application is made under section 57 , the applicant’s licence is
taken to continue in force from the day that it would, apart from this
section, have expired until the application is decided under section 58 or
withdrawn.
(2) If the chief executive restores the licence— (a) the licence
is taken to have been renewed on the day it would, apart from this section,
have expired (the
"initial expiry date" ); and
(b) to remove any doubt, a thing done during the
period starting on the initial expiry date and ending on the day the licence
is restored is taken to have been as validly done as it would have been if the
licence had been renewed immediately before the initial expiry date.
