DRUGS MISUSE ACT 1986 - SECT 4C
Analysts
4C Analysts
(1) The Minister may, by gazette notice, appoint as an analyst for this Act, a
person the Minister is satisfied has the qualifications, standing and
experience necessary to be an analyst for this Act.
(2) Also, a regulation
may declare a person who holds a stated appointment, qualification or other
recognition under the law of another State or the Commonwealth as an analyst,
whether that or another term is used, to be an analyst for this Act.
(3) The
Minister may delegate the Minister’s function under subsection (1) to— (a)
the chief executive; or
(b) an officer of the department who the Minister is
satisfied has the qualifications, experience or standing necessary to perform
the function. Example of standing— the officer’s classification or level
in the department
(4) In this section—
"function" includes power.
