FAIR TRADING INSPECTORS ACT 2014 - SECT 69
Obstructing inspector
(1) A person must not obstruct an inspector exercising a power, or someone
helping an inspector exercising a power, unless the person has a reasonable
excuse. Penalty— Maximum penalty—200 penalty units or 1 year’s
imprisonment.
(2) If a person has obstructed an inspector, or someone
helping an inspector, and the inspector decides to proceed with the exercise
of the power, the inspector must warn the person that— (a) it is an offence
to cause an obstruction unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and
(b)
the inspector considers the person’s conduct an obstruction.
(3) In this
section—
"obstruct" includes assault, hinder, resist, attempt to obstruct and threaten
to obstruct.
"power" means a power under this Act or a primary Act.
