LAND ACT 1994 - SECT 180A
Applying to cancel or surrender permit
180A Applying to cancel or surrender permit
(1) A relevant entity for a permit may apply to cancel the permit.
(2)
However, before applying, the relevant entity must give notice of the
entity’s intention to apply to— (a) the permittee; and
(b) any other
entity with a registered interest in the permit land.
(3) Also, a
relevant entity for a permit can not apply to cancel the permit if the
relevant entity is a non-core utility provider.
(4) The relevant entity may
also give notice to any other entity the relevant entity considers has an
interest in the permit land.
(5) A permittee may apply to surrender the
permit.
(6) In this section—
"relevant entity" , for a permit, means all of the following— (a) a public
utility provider;
(b) if the permit land is a reserve—the trustee of the
reserve;
(c) if the permit land is a road—an adjoining owner of land
adjoining the road.
