Land may be used only for tenure’s purpose
199A Land may be used only for tenure’s purpose
(1) Licence land or permit land may be used only for the purpose for which the
licence or permit was issued.
(2) Lease land may be used only for— (a) if
the lease land is the subject of a term lease for pastoral purposes— (i)
agricultural purposes; or
(ii) grazing purposes; or
(iii) agricultural and
grazing purposes; or
(b) otherwise—the purpose for which the lease was
originally issued.
(3) However, if the purpose of the lease land is changed
under section 154 , the land may be used only for the purposes as changed.
(4) Despite subsections (2) and (3) , lease land may be used— (a) under an
approved agreement for an indigenous cultural interest for the lease land; or
(b) for lease land that is also a special wildlife reserve or nature refuge
under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 —in a way permitted under that Act
for the special wildlife reserve or nature refuge.
