304 Correcting unregistered documents

(1) The registrar of titles may correct an obvious error in a lodged document by noting the correction—

(a) on the document; or

(b) if the document is in electronic form—in the appropriate register.

(2) The registrar of titles may correct an obvious error in a lodged document only if the registrar is satisfied the document is incorrect and the correction will not prejudice the rights of a person.

(3) A document corrected by the registrar of titles under this section has the same effect as if the relevant error had not been made.
