314 Dispensing with production of paper document

(1) The registrar of titles may dispense with the production of a document in paper form.

(2) Before the registrar of titles dispenses with the production of a document, the registrar may require evidence that a person seeking to deal with a lease or licence is entitled to deal with the lease or licence, and that the document that can not be produced—

(a) has been lost or no longer exists; and

(b) is not deposited as security or for safe custody.

(3) The registrar of titles must record in the register that production of the document has been dispensed with and the day production of it was dispensed with.
