Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsA doctor may apply to the tribunal for approval to perform electroconvulsive therapy on another person if the doctor is satisfied—
(a) the person is an adult who is—(i) subject to a treatment authority, forensic order or treatment support order; or(ii) unable to give informed consent to the therapy; or
(b) the person is a minor.
