MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2016 - SECT 649
Resignation of office
649 Resignation of office
(1) The president may resign as president by
signed notice of resignation given to— (a) if the president is the Chief
Justice—the Governor; or
(b) otherwise—the Chief Justice.
(2) The notice
takes effect when it is given under subsection (1) or, if a later time is
stated in the notice, at the later time.
(3) Resignation as the president
does not affect the person’s membership of the Mental Health Court.
