(1) The parties to the proceeding for the review are—(a) the person who is detained in the relevant service; and(b) if the person is not the applicant—the applicant; and(c) if the relevant service is an authorised mental health service—the chief psychiatrist; and(d) if the relevant service is the forensic disability service—the director of forensic disability.
(2) Also, the Attorney-General may elect to be a party to the proceeding.
(3) An election under subsection (2) must be made by filing a notice in the registry.
