(1) For carrying out the inquiry, the appointed person may exercise 1 or more of the following powers—(a) enter the relevant service;(b) examine the person who is detained in the relevant service;(c) search any part of the relevant service;(d) inspect, examine, test, measure, photograph or film any part of the relevant service or any documents or other thing in the service;(e) take extracts from, or make copies of, any documents in the relevant service;(f) take into the relevant service any persons, equipment and materials the appointed person reasonably requires for exercising powers in relation to the service.
(2) The appointed person may exercise a power under subsection (1) with the help, and using the force, that is necessary and reasonable in the circumstances.
