(1) The tribunal may, by written notice given to a person (an
"attendance notice" ), require the person to—(a) attend the hearing of a proceeding at a stated time and place to give evidence; or(b) produce a stated document or thing that is relevant to the hearing.Examples of a document that may be relevant to a hearing—a medical report or clinical file for the person the subject of the proceedingNote—See section 760 for the consequences of failing to comply with an attendance notice.
(2) The tribunal may—(a) require the evidence to be given on oath; or(b) allow a person appearing as a witness at the hearing to give information by tendering a written statement, verified, if the tribunal directs, by oath.
(3) For subsection (2) (a) , the tribunal may administer an oath.
