RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES AND ROOMING ACCOMMODATION ACT 2008 - SECT 487
Chief executive officer
487 Chief executive officer
(1) The authority must have a chief executive officer (however called).
(2)
The chief executive officer is responsible for ensuring the authority is
managed as required by the policies of the board.
(3) The chief executive
officer is appointed by the Governor in Council.
(4) A director must not be
appointed as chief executive officer.
(5) The chief executive officer is to
be appointed under this Act and not under the Public Sector Act 2022 .
(6)
The chief executive officer holds office for the term (not longer than 5
years) decided by the Governor in Council.
(7) The chief executive officer
holds office on the conditions (including conditions for remuneration,
allowances and remuneration when the appointment ends) fixed by the authority.
