RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES AND ROOMING ACCOMMODATION ACT 2008 - SECT 97
Apportionment
97 Apportionment
(1) The rent payable under an agreement accumulates from day to day.
(2) On
the ending of the agreement— (a) the rent is to be appropriately
apportioned; and
(b) the appropriate amount is payable by or to the tenant.
(3) If there is a dispute between the lessor and tenant about the amount
payable, either party may apply to a tribunal and the tribunal may make any
order it considers appropriate about the payment of an amount by or to the
tenant.
