Transitional provision for cancellation of enforcement order
178 Transitional provision for cancellation of enforcement order
(1) This section applies if, immediately before the commencement of this
section, the registrar had cancelled an enforcement order under
previous section 57 but had not referred the matter of the offence to a
Magistrates Court.
(2) On the commencement— (a) the registrar must not
refer the matter of the offence to a Magistrates Court; and
(b)
new section 57 applies to the cancellation of the enforcement order as if the
cancellation had happened after the commencement.
(3) In this section—
"new section 57" means section 57 as amended by the amendment Act.
"previous section 57" means section 57 as in force before the commencement of
section 20 of the amendment Act .
