Having seized a thing, an authorised person may do 1 or more of the following—
(a) move the thing from the place where it was seized (the
"place of seizure" );
(b) leave the thing at the place of seizure but take reasonable steps to restrict access to it;
(c) if the thing is equipment—make it inoperable.
Example of restricting access to a thing—sealing a thing and marking it to show access to it is restricted
Example of making equipment inoperable—removing a component of equipment without which the equipment is not capable of being used
