TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (PASSENGER TRANSPORT) ACT 1994 - SECT 112
Identity cards
112 Identity cards
(1) The chief executive must issue an identity card to each authorised person.
(2) This section does not apply to an authorised person who is a police
officer.
(3) The identity card must— (a) contain a recent photograph of the
authorised person; and
(b) be signed by the authorised person; and
(c)
identify the person as— (i) if the person is a transit officer—an
authorised person (transit officer); or
(ii) otherwise—an authorised
person; and
(d) contain a unique identification number for the authorised
person; and
(e) include an expiry date.
(4) A person who ceases to be an
authorised person must, as soon as practicable, return the identity card to
the chief executive, unless the person has a reasonable excuse for not
returning it. Penalty— Maximum penalty—30 penalty units.
(5)
Nothing in this section prevents the issue of a single identity card to a
person for this Act and other Acts.
