TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (PASSENGER TRANSPORT) ACT 1994 - SECT 15
Operator must hold operator accreditation
15 Operator must hold operator accreditation
(1) A person must not provide, as an operator, a public passenger service
unless the person holds operator accreditation for the service. Penalty—
Maximum penalty— (a) if the person does not hold operator
accreditation—160 penalty units; or
(b) if the person holds operator
accreditation to provide a public passenger service other than the public
passenger service provided by the person—20 penalty units.
(2) Subsection
(1) does not apply to a person providing, as an operator, a public passenger
service if the service is— (a) not provided on a road; or
(b) provided
using a light rail vehicle; or
(c) prescribed by regulation as a service to
which this section does not apply.
