TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (PASSENGER TRANSPORT) ACT 1994 - SECT 71
What is a booked hire service
(1) A
"booked hire service" is a public passenger service for a journey that starts
in Queensland— (a) provided by the hire, other than the hire on-the-spot,
of— (i) a motor vehicle that has not more than 12 seating positions,
including the driver’s position, or is a limousine; and
(ii) a person to
drive the vehicle; and
(b) that may be used by the public, or a substantial
part of the public, whether or not use of the service is subject to compliance
with a condition. Example of a condition for using a public passenger
service— holding an account or membership to use the service
(2) For
subsection (1) , it does not matter where the journey ends or if the journey
involves leaving and re-entering Queensland.
