TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (PASSENGER TRANSPORT) ACT 1994 - SECT 91G
Transfer of taxi service licence between taxi service areas
(1) The chief executive may amend a taxi service licence to change the
taxi service area for the licence to another taxi service area if— (a) the
holder of the licence successfully offers for a transfer to the other
taxi service area following the calling of offers by public notice; or
(b)
the taxi service areas are amalgamated.
(2) Subsection (3) applies if, in the
chief executive’s opinion, the value of a taxi service licence increases
because the licence is transferred to another taxi service area under
subsection (1) (a) .
(3) The chief executive may require, as a condition of a
transfer mentioned in subsection (1) (a) , the holder of the taxi service
licence to pay to the chief executive an amount representing the increase in
value.
(4) This section does not limit the power to make regulations about
amending taxi service licences.
