91ZK General effect of suspension of driver licence
(1) This section applies if the chief executive suspends a person’s
Queensland driver licence under section 91ZJ .
(2) While the person’s
driver licence is suspended, the person is not eligible to apply for a special
hardship order under the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 .
Note— A special hardship order under the
Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 authorises a person whose
driver licence has been suspended to continue to drive motor vehicles in
stated circumstances. See section 150 (1A) of that Act.
(3) Subsection (2)
applies despite the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 .
(4)
The suspension of the person’s driver licence— (a) is not affected by the
renewal or replacement of the suspended licence; and
(b) does not affect the
suspension or cancellation of the licence under another Act, whether by
operation of law or the exercise of a power by a court or another person.
