(1) This section applies if—(a) a worker has been receiving weekly payments of compensation for at least 2 years; and(b) the insurer receives a report from a doctor that the worker’s injury is not stable and stationary for the purposes of assessing permanent impairment.
(2) The insurer’s liability to make weekly payments of compensation may be discharged by a redemption payment to the worker in an amount agreed between the insurer and the worker.
