(1) This section applies to anything done or started by a former entity under an Act (the
"Act" )—(a) whose effect had not ended, or that has not been finished, immediately before commencement; and(b) that, at the commencement, is something that the Regulator can do under the Act ; and(c) that is not otherwise dealt with by a provision of the Act .Example of a thing started by the former Authority—the procedure for cancelling a self-insurer’s licence under section 96 of the pre-amended Act
(2) The thing done or started by the former entity—(a) continues to have effect; and(b) from the commencement, is taken to have been done or started by the Regulator; and(c) for a thing started by a former entity—may be completed by the Regulator.
