Entering particular blocked crossings

128A Entering particular blocked crossings

A driver driving along a road must not enter a bicycle crossing, children’s crossing, marked foot crossing or pedestrian crossing on the road if the driver can not drive through the crossing because the crossing, or a road beyond the crossing, is blocked.

Penalty—
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
Example—
The crossing, or a road beyond the crossing, may be blocked by congested traffic, a disabled vehicle, a collision between vehicles or between a vehicle and a pedestrian, or a fallen load on the road.
