TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT--ROAD RULES) REGULATION 2009 - REG 192
Stopping on a bridge or in a tunnel etc.
192 Stopping on a bridge or in a tunnel etc.
(1) A driver must not stop on a bridge, causeway, ramp or similar structure
unless— (a) the road is at least as wide on the structure as it is on each
of the approaches; or
(b) the driver— (i) stops at a place on a length of
road, or in an area, to which a parking control sign applies; and
(ii) is
permitted to stop at that place under this regulation.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
(2) A driver must not stop in a tunnel
or underpass unless— (a) the road is at least as wide in the tunnel or
underpass as it is on each of the approaches; or
(b) the driver— (i) stops
at a place on a length of road, or in an area, to which a parking control sign
applies; and
(ii) is permitted to stop at that place under this regulation.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
