The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

This Act may be cited as the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (South Australia) (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 2017.

2—Commencement

This Act will come into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation.

3—Amendment provisions

In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.

Part 2—Amendment of Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (South Australia) Act 2010

4—Amendment of section 42—Restriction on number of pharmacies

(1) Section 42(1)—delete "40" and substitute:

(2) Section 42(3)—delete "9" and substitute:

5—Amendment of section 74—Unauthorised dispensing of optical appliances

Section 74(2)(d)—delete "in the prescribed manner "

6—Amendment of section 79—Commissioner of Police may give criminal history information

(1) Section 79(1)(b)—delete "CrimTrac" wherever occurring and substitute in each case:

the ACC

(2) Section 79(2)—before the definition of criminal history information insert:

ACC means the Australian Crime Commission established under the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002 of the Commonwealth;

7—Amendment of Schedule 2—Health Practitioner Regulation National Law

(1) Schedule 2, section 5—before the definition of accreditation authority insert:

ACC means the Australian Crime Commission established under the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002 of the Commonwealth.

(2) Schedule 2, section 5, definition of CrimTrac—delete the definition

(3) Schedule 2, section 79(2)(a)—delete "CrimTrac" and substitute:

the ACC

(4) Schedule 2, section 135(1)(a)—delete "CrimTrac" and substitute:

the ACC
