South Australian Current Acts South Australian Current Acts (1) An agreement under
which a parent or guardian of a child receives any consideration (other than a
consideration of a kind authorised by the Chief Executive) for a consent to
the adoption of the child, is illegal and void.
(2) A person who is a
party to an agreement of a kind referred to in subsection (1) is guilty
of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $20 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
