A person authorised to carry out work on a road under this or another Act
must—
(a)
carry out the work as expeditiously as is practicable in the circumstances;
and
(b) take
action that is reasonably practicable in the circumstances to minimise
obstruction of the road and inconvenience to road users; and
(c) if a
code of practice governing the work is prescribed by the
regulations—comply with the code of practice.
Maximum penalty: $5 000.
