(1) A person who
abandons a vehicle on a public road or public place is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $5 000.
Expiation fee: $315.
(2) The court by which
a person is convicted of an offence against subsection (1) must, on
application by the council, order the convicted person to pay to the council
any costs incurred by the council in removing or disposing of the vehicle.
