115A—Issue of certificate where land is vested by operation of law
Despite anything in this Act or any other Act or law, if the Registrar-General
is satisfied that an estate or interest in land has become vested in a person
by operation of an Act, the Registrar-General may (whether or not an
appropriate application has been made by that person)—
(a) in
the case of land under the provisions of this Act—without the execution
or production of any instrument or document whatsoever, register the person as
the proprietor of that estate or interest in the land and enter on the
certificate of title a memorial of the vesting of the estate or interest; or
(b) in
the case of land not under the provisions of this Act—without the
execution or production of any instrument or document whatsoever, bring the
land under the provisions of this Act, register the person as the proprietor
of that estate or interest in the land and issue a certificate of title on
which has been entered a memorial of the vesting of the estate or interest.
