nominee
In case an applicant, or the person to whom he or the person applying in his
name or on his behalf, may have directed a certificate to be issued, shall die
in the interval between the date of the application and the date on which the
certificate shall be issued, the certificate shall be issued in the name of
the applicant, or in the name of the person to whom it shall have been so
directed to be issued as the case may require, and the land shall devolve in
like manner as if the certificate had been issued prior to the death of the
applicant or of such person.
