193—Stopping on a crest or curve outside a built-up area
(1) A driver must not
stop on or near a crest or curve on a length of road that is not in a built-up
area unless—
(a) the
driver's vehicle is visible for 100 metres to drivers approaching the vehicle
and travelling in the direction of travel of traffic on the same side of the
road as the vehicle; or
(b) the
driver stops at a place on a length of road, or in an area, to which a parking
control sign applies and the driver is permitted to stop at that place under
the Australian Road Rules .

the dictionary.
"road" does not include a road-related area, but includes any shoulder of the
road.
