675B—Duty to provide information, training and instruction
(1) This regulation
applies in addition to regulation 39.
(2) The mine operator
of a mine must ensure that each worker at the mine is provided with suitable
and adequate information, training and instruction in relation to the
following:
(a) all
hazards associated with the work being carried out by the worker;
(b) the
implementation of risk control measures relating to the work being carried out
by the worker, including controls in relation to fatigue, the consumption of
alcohol and the use of drugs;
(c) the
content and implementation of the safety management system for the mine;
(d) the
emergency plan for the mine;
(e) the
safety role for workers implemented under regulation 675Q.
Maximum penalty:
(a) in
the case of an individual—$6 000;
(b) in
the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
