AMENDMENT BILL 2014

A BILL FOR
An Act to amend the Climate Change (State Action) Act
2008
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Climate Change
(State Action) Amendment Act 2014.
2. Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent.

3. Principal Act
In this Act, the Climate Change (State Action)
Act 2008* is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Section 3 amended (Interpretation)
Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended as
follows:
(a) by omitting the definition of Council;
(b) by omitting the definition of member.
5. Section 9 amended (Regulations generally)
Section 9(3)(a) of the Principal Act is amended
by omitting "or the Council".
6. Part 2, Divisions 3 and 4 repealed
Divisions 3 and 4 of Part 2 of the Principal Act
are repealed.
7. Section 16 amended (Confidentiality)
Section 16 of the Principal Act is amended by
omitting subsection (2).
8. Section 17 amended (Delegation)
Section 17 of the Principal Act is amended by
omitting paragraph (b).

Section 18(3) of the Principal Act is amended by
omitting paragraph (a).
10. Schedules 1 and 2 amended
Schedules 1 and 2 to the Principal Act are
repealed.
11. Repeal of Act
This Act is repealed on the three hundred and
sixty fifth day from the day on which it
commences.
