(SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION FOR
2016-17) BILL 2017

now ready for presentation to the Legislative Council for its concurrence.

A BILL FOR
An Act for the appropriation of money out of the
Consolidated Fund for the service of the financial year
ending on 30 June 2017 for the purpose of making
contributions to Division 1, Department of Education,
Division 2, Finance-General, Division 3, Department of
Health and Human Services, Division 6, Department of
Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Division 7,
Department of Premier and Cabinet, Division 8,
Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and
Environment, Division 9, Department of State Growth, and
Division 11, Department of Treasury and Finance, of Part
2 of Schedule 1 to the Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act
(No. 1) 2016
Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

Consolidated Fund Appropriation (Supplementary Appropriation
for 2016-17) Act 2017

1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund
Appropriation (Supplementary Appropriation for
2016-17) Act 2017.
2. Commencement
This Act is taken to have commenced on
1 July 2016.
3. Issue and appropriation of $41 325 000
(1) In respect of the financial year ending on
30 June 2017, the Treasurer may issue the sum
of $41 325 000 out of the Consolidated Fund.
(2) The sum specified in subsection (1) is
appropriated.
4. Purpose of appropriation
(1) The sum of $975 000 is to be applied to Division
1 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Consolidated
Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2016,
Department of Education, for the purposes of
Works and Services.
(2) The sum of $10 090 000 is to be applied to
Division 2 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Finance-General, for the purposes of
Recurrent Services.

(3) The sum of $5 000 000 is to be applied to
Division 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Department of Health and Human
Services, for the purposes of Works and
Services.
(4) The sum of $400 000 is to be applied to Division
6 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Consolidated
Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2016,
Department of Police, Fire and Emergency
Management, for the purposes of Recurrent
Services.
(5) The sum of $1 125 000 is to be applied to
Division 7 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Department of Premier and Cabinet, for
the purposes of Recurrent Services.
(6) The sum of $7 010 000 is to be applied to
Division 8 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Department of Primary Industries, Parks,
Water and Environment, for the purposes of
Recurrent Services.
(7) The sum of $9 000 000 is to be applied to
Division 8 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Department of Primary Industries, Parks,
Water and Environment, for the purposes of
Works and Services.

(8) The sum of $3 525 000 is to be applied to
Division 9 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Department of State Growth, for the
purposes of Recurrent Services.
(9) The sum of $4 200 000 is to be applied to
Division 11 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2016, Department of Treasury and Finance, for
the purposes of Recurrent Services.
5. Expiry of Act
This Act expires on 30 June 2018.
