CONSOLIDATED FUND APPROPRIATION BILL (No. 1) 2014 This Public Bill originated in the House of Assembly, and, having this day passed, is now ready for presentation to the Legislative Council for its concurrence. P. R. ALCOCK, Clerk of the House 17 September 2014 (Brought in by the Treasurer, the Honourable Peter Carl Gutwein) A BILL FOR An Act for the appropriation of $3 555 804 000 out of the Consolidated Fund for the services of the Government for the financial year ending on 30 June 2015 and to authorise the Treasurer to borrow money on behalf of the State Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2014. 2. Commencement This Act is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2014. [Bill 20] 3

 


 

Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2014 Act No. of s. 3 3. Issue, application and appropriation of $3 555 804 000 (1) In respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 2015, the Treasurer may - (a) issue the sum of $3 555 804 000 out of the Consolidated Fund; and (b) apply that sum for the services of the Government. (2) The sum specified in subsection (1) is appropriated. 4. Purposes of appropriation The sum specified in section 3(1)(a) is to be applied for the purposes specified in Schedule 1. 5. Power to borrow money The Treasurer may borrow such money as may be required for the purposes of the State. 6. Expiry of Act This Act expires on 30 June 2016. 4
