FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND AUDIT AMENDMENT BILL 2010 This Public Bill originated in the House of Assembly, and, having this day passed, is now ready for presentation to the Legislative Council for its concurrence. ALCOCK, Clerk of the House 10 June 2010 (Brought in by the Deputy Premier, the Honourable Larissa Tahireh Giddings) A BILL FOR An Act to amend the Financial Management and Audit Act 1990 Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Financial Management and Audit Amendment Act 2010. 2. Commencement This Act is taken to have commenced on 16 June 2010. [Bill 10] 3

 


 

Financial Management and Audit Amendment Act 2010 Act No. of s. 3 3. Principal Act In this Act, the Financial Management and Audit Act 1990* is referred to as the Principal Act. 4. Section 14 amended (Treasurer's expenditure control authority) Section 14(2) of the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from paragraph (e) "Ombudsman Act 1978." and substituting "Ombudsman Act 1978; or"; (b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (e): (f) in the case of an appropriation for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Minister administering the Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1973. 5. Schedule 2 amended (Special Appropriations to Which this Act Applies) Schedule 2 to the Principal Act is amended by inserting after *No. 28 of 1990 4
